We had a pretty good night on the limb lines a couple days ago.

What do you like to use for bait? What kind of areas do you pick to set? I have experience setting bank poles for channel cats but not for flats. Just kind of curious.

Heavy with downed timber, bridges and rock piles (structure)...slow moving water on a tributary that feeds the KS river. I just used goldfish for bait that night cuz it was all I could get. One of those flatheads had 10 bluegills in the stomach before it took the goldfish.

The depth was anywhere from 3-10 feet.

Dang guys! Way to go! I really need to get out there . . .

Any of you guys ever add rattles to your diddy pole leaders?
Do you prefer to set the bait just under the surface or deeper, how deep???
