It was great seeing everyone rallying together for a good cause. The event went as smooth as possible and will be interesting to see how much we raised. Skip, thanks alot for your efforts and assisting this great organization along. Let's keep Iowa great!

DIRT WORK- SOUTHERN IOWA- ponds, clearing, etc.

$2.60/cubic yard and $40/foot of 6" smooth metal pipe would be right in line with our averages in Adams County.

DIRT WORK- SOUTHERN IOWA- ponds, clearing, etc.

Agree with skip. A lot depends on topography of the land and the contractor's abilities. To add to that a general rule of thumb we use is a ratio of 20:1 which is drainage area to pool size. In a normal rainfall year in Iowa, it takes about 20 acres of drainage to keep a 1 acre pond full...

Changing the Hunting Industry- Matt Rinella- podcast & discussion

Great listen. Definitely makes you think. It's interesting to think where we would be if hunting hadn't been/wasn't promoted so much. Can't blame people for taking advantage of an opportunity, but unfortunately it was at the the expense of a natural resource and access to quality hunting...

I don't mind a little of it here and there, but I have about 0.5 acre area on my 40 that will be covered with it in a few years. This area consists of boxelders, wild...

    Sheds

Just pulled a card yesterday, and it appears 5 of the 8 bucks are still holding both sides in the last week. 1 of the bigger ones just shed a few days ago.

    Sheds

Yeah, my buddy wasted his time last week during his lunch break finding these 2 matched sets. Bottom ones are 170"+. Sent from my SM-G991U1 using Tapatalk

    Climbing Sticks

Curious as to what you all use for climbing sticks when hang and hunting? I've been looking into the new XOP 2-steps or Tethrd Skeletors. I like the thought of the rope system on the Skeletors, but not sure about the stand-offs not rotating for those crooked trees. I'm not planning on getting...
