    Covert Cameras

Hawk, according to Covert their sensors are set a bit wider than their lens can cover. The description I got was they wanted to make sure they did not miss any animals but you also will get some bare pictures. I have run coverts for 5 years and the new ones are their best. I modify each of my...

    2012 Trail Cams Choices

Reconyx and Covert for me. I run the Reconyx where i think they are secure and have the highest value to me and now all Coverts elsewhere. I also run Moultries, Bushnell, & Cuddies but want to standardize so i will be having a trail camera clearance sale on all but the Reconyx and Coverts as...

    Reconyx

Once you get a Reconyx it is hard to use any other cams. I am still running a bunch of other cams and i am replacing some each year with Reconyx. The night pictures seem grainy vs white flash cams but are similar to most other IR cams. Battery life is unbelievable and the biggest selling...

    Plot Watchers

I use mine like Buckeye does. I mainly set it on plots or fields with many possible points of entry to pinpoint which trail or direction the animal is using. They also work nice to cover a large opening that would require 2 or 3 cams to cover. It is possible to zoom out to about 25 yards but...

    Too Slow Cameras!!

The daytime pictures are good but the nightime pictures are awesome. The flash cuddies have their place with me for mineral sites and scrapes. I typically don't use them on trails or plots just because of their limited sensing area but up close they are by far my best night time pictures.

    Plot Watchers

I don't have a plotwatcher but did add two Primos DPS this year. I think the plotwatcher is a little better quality but the DPS's let me try the time lapse out at half the cost. It is amazing how much more info you can get during daylight hours than you can with a trail cam. Card size and...
