    Camper on Land

I was wondering if anybody on here has ever bought a camper to leave on hunting land permanently, and how you set it up. My wife and I bought some land in Southern IA to hunt/fish/camp and are going back and forth if we want a camper or a cabin. I think we are leaning towards a camper, in case...

    Can you ID these tresspassers?

Goldie Locks has some pretty expensive gear, so he should be able to afford the fines when you find out who he is. Keep us posted, trespassers are the worst.

    Deer movement update thread

I sat last night in Webster County and didn't see too much movement. Saw one little basket rack pushing a doe but that was about it. However, on my way to work this morning there was rutting activity in several ag fields. Had a pretty nice buck run across the street in front of my car nowhere...

    Pursuit Channel

Lol I just had to look up what HECS was. I guess now we know why our Cro-Magnon ancestors went extinct. The wooly mammoths could sense their electrical fields! *rolls eyes*

    Pursuit Channel

Like has been said, most TV hunting shows are garbage. Midwest Whitetail is a great show to stream online. Bowhunt or Die is a decently informative online show too (although steadily declining IMO) if you can get past all the gaudy product placement.

    DPMS AR-15 +180 rounds

I have a DPMS AR-15 I'm looking to sell. Probably less than 200 rounds shot through it in its life. Comes with mounted flashlight, 2 magazines, detachable foregrip picatinny rail, and 180 rounds. I also have a 3-9x40 scope mounted on it that I would like to sell as a package, but would consider...

    Iowa Gunsmith

I don't have any personal experience, but I have a couple buddies that took their guns to a place in Story City and were very unhappy with the price and turnaround time. They ended up going to a guy in Boone that operates out of his garage and I guess he does a great job for a very good...

    Hunting whitetails from a boat

This is something I am seriously considering this fall, as a lot of public land around me is accessed by either private property or river only. I have a 14 foot canoe with a transom on the back that will accept a trolling motor. I would think this would be enough to get up current on most...

    Farmers Insurance Ad:

I think I know the one you are talking about, and if it is, then it was meant to be funny. Just chuckle and don't read too much into it, or if you are offended easily then turn off the TV.

Permits for Building a Small Cabin?

I have also posted this in Iowa Sportsman but thought I would stop in here too so I can get as much advice as possible. :) So I have always had this dream of someday owning a little getaway cabin on a piece of land in the middle of nowhere. I took the first step to this in March of this year...

    Treestand deals

I have never had an issue with the cheapie stands, but I did have a set of cheap steps fold in half on me one year. These were the Guide Gear steps from Sportsman's Guide. There is a picture of it in my albums. All I can say is, thankfully I was wearing harness.
