Well that's not my plan yet. Going to take it to Ohio this year deer hunting, try the straight wall thing . Something different than my muzzy. Probably take it to Texas for some piggies . Why do you ask ?

Scout is an accurate little gun, put a box of shells thru it, then had it switched over to a Smokeless muzzy, nice carrying gun in the hills and for a tree stand.

Well I got to shoot it finally. Getting 3/4" - 1 1/2 groups at 100 yards with Hornady ammo . Is that about normal for a 45/70 ?

I thought maybe you did those. What breech plug kit do I need ? Are you still in Iowa ?

Sorry didn't have notifications turned on for this thread. You would need to send me the barrel and have it threaded for the plug. Not in Iowa anymore. Moved to AZ in April. I'll be at the Iowa Deer Classic in March.
