42 yard sniper

I have been using cams to do my scouting and have had 2 birds using this little secluded field area almost every morning the past couple weeks. He started gobbling normally, hit the ground and shut up. I stayed quiet and he came in quiet to 60 yards and hung up. Eventually worked to 30 but started to leave. Alex said he had a clear shot so I let him shoot. I stepped it off at 42 yards, I cant believe this little 20 gauge did it, but 3" HeviShot is a wicked thing! Hindsight I thought he was closer but better lucky than good I guess?!

We were done at about 0615 an eating donuts by 0715.

Heavy shot is one of my favorite loads. From my 20 ga patterns with a turkey choke, I would be comfortable at 40 ish yards. But Alex already proved my theory

Nice shooting Alex!

Congrats again fellas! Heck of a way to finish out the season congrats!
