I have a some mulberry trees growing up in some spruce trees. Within a foot of the spruce trunks. I was going to cut and carefully treat the cut stump with herbicide. Any idea on what herbicide? I thought about a 50% glyphosate. I am worried about translocation. I really don't want to lose 20...

First year taking the kids hunting.
We practiced with 42grains by weight of blackhorn 209. And 250 Barnes spitfire t-ez. They shot great! With a 50 Yard limit.
The 250 TEZ were left over. I have 290 TEZ s. Any opinions on the load and a 290 gr. TEZ performance to 50 Yards?
Thanks in...

So I had a little extra winter Rye seed last fall. So I decided to overseed my garden to try to add some nutrients to my garden. Wondering if anyone has ever mowed Rye throughout the spring and summer. I am thinking of just clearing spots for tomatoes ,peppers Etc. And letting the Rye take care...
Has anyone ever left winter Rye standing until the following fall all the way through hunting season? I am trying to shorten up a food plot that has Rye planted in it right now. It it's about 300 yards long, in my effective range is about 200 yards. So you see my problem they like that last 100...
Need some opinions. I planted some soybeans about 3-4 weeks ago. We received a little rain, enough to get seeds popping. Then extremely dry for 3 weeks. So this soybean plot is a bust.
Should I replant or wait to plant some rye or brassicas? This is in Western Iowa, Harrison county. Had a...
While out trying to get a rogue cow off my property, I came across an area of concern. About a 1/4 acre of 12 year old oak trees are infested with a red thorny stalk type plant.3-5 feet tall, about a 1/2" in diameter on average. They lean over about the top third. I did not have my phone to take...
Has anyone used a hybrid popular as a
rub tree. I find myself with an abundance
of these (at least the top half.) thanks to. 70 MPH wind and rain from last night's
storms. Any input would be great, thanks.
I had a quick question for all you tree guys out there. I have a tree planting that I have good control of grasses in but I have a sudden flourish of alfalfa. I knew it was there to some extent but this year it has gotten a lot ticker in areas. Any of you have any experience with this?
I have a few Apple trees arriving next week. I thought I had the location picked out, until I
Was informed by my wife that I was not going to plant all of them in the fields for deer.
So now a few are going in our yard. Here is my question, 3 days ago I spread Scotts crabgrass preventer in our...
This is my first year planting a brassica mix. The plot did great
As far as growth goes, huge radishes pt turnips bigger than softballs.
I know it takes deer a while to catch on to brassicas sometimes.
We had real hard freezes early then warm weather. Radishes are mush as
expected, but I...
Has anyone had any experience with Stevens bows. I am looking at the Prevailer or inception. All the
reviews I have been great. Fast, quiet and forgiving. Smooth draw solid back wall, and adjustable.
Looking for some opinions.
Thanks
How many of you do all day hunts. Sun up to sundown. When do you start? Looking
For some ideas to pass the time. I do a journal, phone of course.and snooze. In between all
that I keep an ear and an eye out for deer. Also pee in a bottle or let it fly?
Need some opinions. I have a one acre food plot. Half soybeans half clover. Clover is doing
ok beans are doing great so far(we need rain)I was going to broadcast brassicas( big and beasty) into the beans, figuring the beans would be hammered by deer. But this is the first year in six years I've...
Any thoughts on using a trace mineral instead of trophy rock or something
similar. Basically the same minerals just a little more of some in the trace mineral block.
