Evening sit in SE IA by some heavy hit scrapes. Nothing rattling but squirrels in the leaves.

Muscatine County here. 2 bucks have passed with their tongues out & heads down. Turned them both with contact grunts. Would’ve shot the 1st; he was a heavy bodied 8 I’ve seen before, but he didn’t present a shot. 2nd was a lil scrapper. Good movement, let’s hope it continues with my hit list...

the damn squirrels are prepping like snowpocalypse is on its way! One little fork came through about 20 min ago. Otherwise surprisingly quiet so far.

My view for the day. Alfalfa over the ridge, oaks all around, & nothing but time on my hands. Let’s hope the incoming front gets them moving this afternoon!
