Does anyone here have a 4 row deere 7000 that's been stripped down and converted to be 3 point mounted?
I'd like to see some pictures if anyone could provide. I'm thinking of doing this to one of my 7000s to be able to trailer with it mounted on the tractor. I'd like to eliminate everything...
With the timing of the front, this weekend has caught the attention of the hunting world. . I'm curious to hear people's strategies.
Are any guys hunting deep in bedding areas this time of year or sticking closer to food?
Is anyone going to break out a decoy? How aggressive do you get this...
The burr oaks around my yard have produced tons of seedlings this year. I've been trying my luck at moving a few around.
What are my chances of success here? Is making a slit in the ground with a spade a decent way to go or should they be planted in loose dirt?
I don't think I've seen this discussed yet. Things are always too high up here in the NW corner of the state, but this is high even for here. That's almost 2.2 million for 73 acres of farmland. I like land, but dang, that's a lot of money for a piece of ground just for the privilege of farming...
This was a bit of a rebuilding year for us after losing a bunch of old bucks in 2021 to successful harvests and ehd. In September I identified an old buck with a heavy short rack and wide bladed brows as my target for the year. I hunted a lot of days before finally catching up with him high up...
I shot a doe last night. It was low light , I didn't have a lighted nock and I didn't see the arrow impact. With below freezing temps, I figured I'd play it safe and retrieve her in the morning. She didn't make it far but unfortunately was found by coyotes in the night. I don't think I've...
Is anyone going to hunt this weekend? If so, what do you do when it's early season and unseasonably warm?
80 degree Temps will probably keep me doing other things this weekend. I see cooler weather forecasted for later the next week. That will likely get me out there .
I'm curious if anyone here is from this part of the state where this went on. These guys went on quite a run.

Thinking towards next spring here. Has anyone tried getting something growing under their electric fence instead of regular spraying/killing everything? I probably sprayed under my fence 4 or 5 times last year with a hand sprayer and 24d/roundup before finally seeding it to brassicas around the...
Radar looked like some decent storms rolled over the central part of the state last night. Anyone catch any of that?
Still bone dry and hot here, lawns are turning brown.
Got an unpopular hunting opinion?
I'll start, most deer hunters would be better off leaving the calls at home.
I've got more but I don't want to be banned!
Last night I heard the dog making a ruckus outside. When I finally got curious enough to go check, I realized I'd be needing a new target. Friggin dog. Any recommendations for a new one?

I stumbled onto this short youtube video today. It's easy to envision this working out well for plots. It looks basically like they are using the clover as living mulch which is producing nitrogen for the corn throughout the growing season. Anyone ever tried anything like this?
I don't know who's this, looks like a good plot planter though. If I needed one, I'd be calling him.

I've got several stands that have been out in the woods a long time, I'm thinking it's probably time to start replacing some of these. I'm looking for opinions on what stands to replace with.
I love my lone Wolf for mobile hunting but a bulk purchase of lone Wolf is gonna be expensive and I...
The action this week was really good from start to finish with several mature buck encounters. I goofed a shot on a big ten on Friday sticking the arrow in a small tree in front of the buck.
At 2:00 on Sunday I spotted this buck in the distance tending a doe. I recognized him immediately as an...
