Do your neighbors have food plots now and they didn't in the past? Maybe they have reestablished residency closer to a better food source. Our maybe you habe a new neighbor who doesn't allow hunting.

I just use the straps that came with it. But I use the chest strap on my safety harness to hold them so they don't slide off my shoulders

Is that a state law or DNR regulation for bow season? I carry a .40 but I'm thinking a .38 would be more comfortable and more easy to conceal. I'm also considering a .380. Those things can easily fit in your jeans pocket.
