    Here's a few more. No history or precious pictures of either of these bucks. Maybe the 10 but haven't found any that compare. BFB...i like that

    He needs a name.

    Have a shed from him from when he was a 2 year old off an adjacent farm. Didn't see him the following year but showed up last year as a regular. My dad missed him muzzleloader last year. Hoping he doesn't get so luck this year. Believe him too be 5 this year.

    Damn squirrel hunters

    Have had 3 different run ins this year with the them. Granted yes I am hunting on public but it is also bordered by the private that I hunt. The guy that walked in on my Sunday was courteous enough to turn around and head back where he came from after he seen me. End of October while checking...

    Brushy Creek Musky

    Well it took a couple of trips to get it figured out but wow was it worth it! I'd like to thank the few of you for the advice and will share my spoils. This trip only consisted of 4 hours and produced my 1st two muskies while actually trying to catch them. My only other musky was also caught on...

    Brushy Creek Musky

    We will be in a boat and I have read a few things about the north end. Nice to have a comfirmation there. All the trees make it a bit intimidating for sure but ill be stopping and buying a lure retriever before we head up. Ill post any success we might have. Thanks again fellas

    Brushy Creek Musky

    Has anyone done any extensive fishing for musky in Brushy? Going to be making a trip up there for the first time for musky tomorrow. Its pretty close to home and I have heard good things but just have never fished for them up there. Ive been on the lake a few times for bass and walleye so I...

    A few bucket mouths

    Had a good couple of weeks with a few over 4 lbs. I absolutely love catching big bass! Catch Kiss and Release all day! Not sure why the pictures are upside down and if I can figure it out I'll fix them but enjoy!

    Hand guns

    M&P Shield Bought the 9mm a few months back. Sweet shooting gun and easy to carry. The old man loved it so much he traded his kahr to get a shield. The rugers to me seemed a little clunky. I work at sportsmans warehouse in Ankeny and you wont find 1 guy in there that would buy a Taurus...

    Bonus

    Me and the old man (buckhunter) had a rough Saturday early but ended up turning things around. Left 1st thing in the morning for a 1 1/2 drive up to a lake to try and catch a musky or 2 and ended up having engine and weather issues on the boat and ended up having to call it real early and were...

    Trap care

    I prefer a waxed trap myself. No dye necessary when its already been waxed. From what Ive heard the cost of wax or a razor is cheaper then dye. Oh wait...what are we talking about?

    public land encounters

    If you havent taken a dump in the woods then you havent been spending enough time the timber haha! I have a a roll of toilet paper with me every trip to the field. Shed, bow, turkey pack. It never fails. I was out shed hunting with buddy one day and we decided to split up this huge cedar...

    public land encounters

    Isn't a hunting story but still public I suppose. Probably 5 years ago me and a buddy were wading up the skunk river doing some small mouth fishing. We start to round the corner and in the middle of the river there sat a naked homeless guy on a log reading a book. The guy calmly gets up, walks...

    Hunting Pressure

    Theres always birds to chase. I can say out of the 15 years ive been hunting the area ive only ran into a handful of guys. Now granted im not going to park somewhere where there are a bunch of cars and head in when I know theres hunters. There is always some where where there wont be vehicles...
