Property taxes for those who film??

How many of you had to pay a fee to get your ground into timber reserve? When I went to the court house to fill out the paperwork they charged a $200.00 fee to enroll the ground. Not sure if it is a flat fee or determined by the piece of land. In my case it was two years worth of regular taxes.

    Scheels customer service yesterday

Have nothing but good things to say about their customer service. There prices aren't always the cheapest but when you have a problem with the product you bought there and need it fixed/replaced it's worth a few extra bucks to not have to mess around with someone on the phone that is 200 miles...

Advice for my 6 year old

My six year old is the opposite. He is left handed, right eye dominant. I bought him a right handed bow so he shoots right handed but does everything else lefty. He does really well with it and it doesn't bother him abit. I thinks it's important to start out with what works best for the kid...

    Your First Deer?

I shot my first deer when I was 14 during early muzzleloader. Our neighbor at the time was the one that got me interested in hunting/trapping. He took me to some public ground down by Fairfield and stuck me in a stand and went and hunted his own stand. After sitting there for a couple of...

    Deer Feeders

Just bought and put up a Cabela's 30 gal deer feeder. Just curious for those of you that have them what do you have your feeding times set for? I run mine once a day in the morning for a 20 sec cycle. I don't know if that is to much or not enough? I figure once the coons, deer and hopefully...

    Conservation fund passes!

Unfortunately the answer to your question is probably never. Which brings up my opinion of the amendment again, might as well have a portion of it help conservation.

    Conservation fund passes!

Greg, I think you are argueing about tax increases not the amendment. I don't want a tax increase either but if/when it happens I'm sure glad part of the increase is going into the conservation fund. It has been stated many times that the talk is the tax increase is probably five years out. I...

    Coughing

I always get a cough this time of year. Usually around harvest time. Luckily mine is done and gone already for the year, before I really spend time in the stand. I used cough drops last year and it didn't seem to make a difference. Good luck.
