    Deer movement update thread

I hunted in Central IA this weekend and as a whole I saw quite a few deer. The rut activity seemed pretty slow though. Trail cameras are still showing mostly night movement.

    Lifeline Equipment

I am going to be putting up climbing lines on all of my deer stands this year for safety purposes. I have researched how to make them but I have ten that I need to build and that will require about 200 ft. of rope and the line for the prussic (sp?) knots. Can anyone tell me where I can...

    New to Food Plots

Last year in late July I planted a brassica mix for the first time and I have been very satisfied on how the deer are using it. This spring I would like to put something down for the deer and weed control until it's time to plant the brassicas again. Can anyone give me some tips and ideas of how...

    Bullet Choice

Again, thanks for all of the help. I really appreciate it. To summarize, I have a CVA 50 cal Optima V2 and it sounds like a Winchester shotgun primer, 90 grains of Blackhorn and a 290 Barnes TMZ would be the best? I will get the new breech plug from CVA. Thanks again and let me know if I am off...

    Friday Carnage

Great way to start my morning. I spit my coffee out laughing. This is my first year putting food plots in and I have broke something every time I have been on the plot this year. Keep us posted on the carnage. I like the welder idea as well, that will have to go on my list.
