anyone ever used a heater in their blind?

Ive been using the 1 pound tanks with a heater head the last couple years in blinds. Its pretty much a necessity most novembers up here EH. Especially if you want to last more than a couple hours. Never had a deer spook from it but i play the wind and i try to keep the blinds closed up pretty...

    Field peas

There hasn't been a post on here for a year but I have a question specific to field peas. I was talking to another hunter that mentioned his neighbor just harvested a field of field peas a couple weeks ago, since then a volunteer crop has started and the deer are hammering it. Every post...

    Cereal Grains and cover crops

I was planning on topping up my winter rye planting late summer with some field peas but can't seem to find small quantities locally (Canada). I did stumble upon a couple free bags of soybeans though, will I get the same affect?

blurry giant from fall in Manitoba

I've been playing around with the site and best I can tell its a 5x5 with a flyer on the left side. Having said that its hard to see the G4 on the left side and it may even be the long brow tine sticking up where the G4 would be.

Mildest winter I have ever seen here, and warmest spring temps on record ever, still the odd bit of snow where there are drifts in the shade but that is it.

Useful Website for Trail Camera Users

Free is always good. Is your information secure? Such as nobody else will have access or rights to the info/pics. Looks like a good site.

    Anybody have $650,000 laying around???

There would be many locals hunting this area, just as they would the rest of the province, legally. You would have to get permission just like everybody else. The renewal would be what the outfitter pays the province for the nonresident tags each year. So I wouldn't think that the $650 000...

    Anybody have $650,000 laying around???

Also something to note is that there is no such thing as a hunting lease on private land in Canada (except some trials that were going on in alberta). It is actually illegal to pay a landowner for hunting permission in Manitoba for example. I have seen similar ads to this one of other...

    Anybody have $650,000 laying around???

I'll try to clear some things up being from Manitoba, this isn't a property sale although some might be invlolved. The province (State) sells non resident non canadian tags directly to the outfitter. The outfitter must own the rights to all the tags in this portion of land. That is what they are...

Agreed, I watch the world juniors, Olympics, and NHL in playoffs only. Having said that I have spent many more hours in an arena than in the woods.......... Might be another Canada /US showdown on Sunday if they both win tomorrow night. Go Canada!!!

    Favorite Bucks.

Here is one of my favorites. It was taken locally here as I used to play hockey with the hunters son when it was taken. It was taken about 15 years ago in rifle season, not sure by which method. I love mass.

    Beaver dam

The beavers have altered the deers routes as well as yours. A beaver dam often = funnel. Around here anyway. And in the big bush country them areas can be hot for activity of cruising bucks.
