500 Inches of Antler

We just got off the phone with Mark Armstrong and he has come within 5 inches of harvesting 500 inches of Iowa Antler with a bow and arrow, in 2000. He just took his third buck of the year getting him very close to that 500 inch mark.

We will post his story in the January issue of iowawhitetail.com. It is an incredible story by a very experienced hunter.

Here is a pic of Marks third buck this year, keep in mind he harvested a 160 class and a 190 class bucks this fall both with in 24 hours of each other. This ended a 5 year dryspell. Most hunters would be satisfied with the two but not Mark, he told us he wanted another buck atleast P & Y minimum to make his 500 inch goal.

Now the weather wasn't exactly pleasant this past week but guess who scores again...133 with a broken brow tine netting 126, wow what a year, more in next months issue.
