Has anyone ever tried Chicken of the woods (sulfur shelf) mushrooms? I had some growing on an old cherry tree so I looked up some recipes and my wife and I tried them in a breakfast omelet, pretty tasty with our free range eggs. They have the texture of chicken breast and a slight chicken flavor.

I've had them, and think they're great. I mistimed them this year, and the heavy rains made them pretty mushy before I got to them.
