One Down

Just wanted to add my two bits. I shot a nice barren doe on Sunday morning 10/26. I shot her with Montec125's. She went about 80 yds. The odd thing was she dropped down when I shot for a quartering away shot at 28yds. I hit her in the neck about half way between torso and head, she lasted about 80 yds and went down underneath a Russian Olive tree by the river bank. She was very healthy and a beautiful animal. I was impressed with the performance of the Montec 125's.
I'm going for the week of 11/09 for the real deal!! I hope everyone has a good time during this time! It is a very special time to be afield!!

deer hate getting shot in the neck. I'll lay one in there if I get a chance with a muzzleloader. The last 2 I got with blackpowder was in the neck and they went no where but straight down.
