Pointer Firearms

Looking for a little help on Pointer Shotguns. They are made by Legacy Sports International, same company that makes Howa rifles, Escort Shotguns and a couple other brands.

My Dad is retiring in May and my Mom and I are looking into buying him a new Over/Under Shotgun but don't really want to the $1500-$2000 for Ruger, Beretta or Benelli although that hasn't completely been ruled out.

Just looking for any input from anyone that might have one or have seen them in action. Looking at it on their webpage it is an absolutely gorgeous gun but I haven't found much in the way of testimonials on them.

I can't speak towards the Pointer firearms since I don't have any experience with them, however I have a few Ruger Red Labels and they are great! I have bought both new and used RL's and all are excellent guns. I would recommend looking for a used Red Label in your price range. The RL's are tried and true workhorse O/U's. Nothing fancy about the standard RL's, but they will last for generations.
