Unique find

    My son just found something that we have never seen before. A "matched pair"... only not from the same buck. Presumably the bucks were sparring and clanked an antler off of each other?? OR...we are going to have to name this guy "Lefty". :)

    That is cool! What are the odds, 1 in a million? Makes you wonder if they were sparing, just happened to drop at the same spot or all the does are breed and the horny buck mounted his buddy and knocked an antler off each when he put the final oomph into him :D

    My guess is sparring. Although these antlers were probably 250 yards away from the cam I am thinking of, we kept getting pics of bucks sparring all the way into Jan/Feb. When I have a chance, I was going to go back and look and see if these two bucks were the ones duking it out so often. I kind of think that they may have been. Maybe these two are brothers and just can't leave it each other alone? :)
