What's the strangest thing you have caught a catfish with?

I know channel cats are omnivores but come on...

I have caught them in farm ponds on big spinner baits before. That is always fun. Also have caught them jigging before.

Caught them on pretty much everything. Casting and trolling cranks at the river. Bass worms, jigs, and tubes. Mepps, spinnerbaits, spoons, and any live bait I've tried.

Agree with the above, I would have a harder time of thinking of something that I have never caught a catfish on. :D

I once caught 5 nice channels in about 6 or 7 consecutive casts with a shad rap in the lake in Lacey-Keosauqua park. By about the third one, I had a bit of an audience as this all happened within about 25 yards of the boat ramp. I acted like it was old hat in front of the onlookers! :D But I was really shocked myself at the time.
