Yep, been doing that for years. Every path I made the deer used it immediately. I usually trim them back in August that gives me access to play any wind to hunt transition areas from bedding to food sources.
That's one species I have growing and intend to plant more. I do want to look into dwarf Chikapin and pears. I have apples, the neighbors' pears draw them in like magnets, but most have dropped come archery season. Have plenty of crabapples but want to plant some good thermal cover that grows...
I'll definitely check it out since I reside in Pa. They have made a lot of changes over the years, the only one I liked is with antler restrictions. The rest is bullcrap....
