Well guys I held out and my switch seed came today. With 5-6" of snow last night bringing shed hunting to a hault I think I will seed right on top of the snow tomorrow as maybe up to 5-7" more coming on Thursday. Maybe just maybe I lucked out!

As much as I hate too with herbicide prices, I am thinking of just storing my seed when I get it, keep that 7 acres sprayed again this summer and then frost seed late this coming fall.

Has anyone planted autumn olive on their farm. I notice some areas have fields full of them and other areas very few. They are really fast growing providing fast cover on open farms for deer and lots of berries for birds and smaller animals. Just wondering if anyone has had any luck growing them.
