    Switchgrass

Drilled - and I don't recall exactly 8-10lbs? We had great germination but we lost some due to the drought and weed pressure last summer, I'm sure of that. But it looks like it will work out just fine! In hindsight - if we'd have addressed the weed issue post planting with Duracor and...

    Switchgrass

Second year RC Bigrock Switchgrass here. Planted July 3rd 2024, right when all the rain shutoff in 2024. It got weedy last year post planting, we sprayed gly/pre-emerge 3 or 4 times last year and it all seemed short lived. Weeds were relentless. Finally planted and then foxtail and weeds...

    Tree planting in a timber

Hackberry grow WELL in our oak timbers, too well. They're fairly shade tolerant and take up the majority of the mid canopy. We cut them any chance we get, otherwise that's all that'd be here.

Here's what I got, love it! I wish I had pics of some of the trees I cut down with it, massive for that 10" blade...

    TSI chainsaw????

Call me crazy - but I've switched to a pole saw for cutting stuff under 10". May be a touch slower cutting but I can work for much much longer without having a sore back from bending over. Also feel like I can trim up cedars and reach the trunks of them better when standing 6-8' away and...

    Question on Turkey numbers….

Hammer the nest predators - I'm not saying shoot 10 raccoons and think you've done anything. Trap/shoot them by the 100s. Manage the habitat. Those two things will turn numbers around fairly quickly.

S-3055 in SF-422 NR party hunting

I've received three email replies stating they oppose the bill and the bill has been pulled... for today... Here's the email I sent - seems so black and white to me how fragile this quality resource is. There's a crazy number of nonresidents compared to residents. Not everyone can enjoy the...

    Burning corn residue?

Those drills work right through that residue, I'd leave it.
