Just sayin, alot can be done with video. No blood on deer? Movement is very natural with muscle gone! Nice to know the origin.

Too early for turnip and radish?

Good for You!! I had a complete failure. nothing survived. My second attempt at rye and oats was OK, but I must have more deer around because they are keeping it mowed down quite short.? Usually I have to weed whip it to keep it down.??

    Rye Oat Winter Wheat

For your information, Much of Iowa is still dry or much below average in moisture. From Western Iowa westward to California many people are very very dry and under drought conditions. Not humorous. Glad Floris is wet. Thanks IowaBowHunter1983 for the information.!

    Rye Oat Winter Wheat

At what temperature and or length of daylight do Rye Oat and Winter Wheat stop growing ? Are we nearing that time ? Temps in 60s even some 70s I assume growth continues. Daylight is getting short however. thanks

    Drought

Minn slick,,,You have the best chance of showers over the next week! Up there in Minn. Farmin is a tough gamble. Why there is crop insurance. My little attempt at agriculture with a walk behind tiller and some seed is just a hobby, pass time, exercise. Plots very small. No equipment. Dont...

    Drought

Highly amplified weird weather pattern. Huge high pressure Heat continues to plague the west next week all the way to NW Canada. At the same time large Hudson Bay Trough digs to Iowa's east with Artic dump of air. Little to NO moisture with this Pattern for Iowa westward. I agree with jerry...

    Watering trees

Depends on where you are. Last rain was not all that much everywhere in Iowa. Especially after a near record Dry Aug... Extended forecast nest 2 wks. Little in the way of appreciable moisture. Sorry,,just the forecast.

    Watering trees

You are correct. If you have any young recently planted trees,,get out there with water. Stay as clean as possible and water! I was called negative bringing this up, but as I expected, we are back to sun and NO rain after 4 days of rain. Aug and Sept are going down as mostly Sunny dry Months...

    Drought

Wrong,,,I am glad for a week of cool and damp after so many sunny hot days. Just practical. I have seen my efforts at food plots fail in more than one Sept and Aug. They can be dry. the transition time between Summer and Winter. Can turn wet. Not the usual though. I do my plots with a walk...

    Drought

Hey Sept aint over yet. Glad some got 3 inches. Many did not. I was lucky to get an inch and a half last night. I wish moisture would come spaced out though instead it seems to all come in one night or a couple days and then nothing for weeks. I tilled my failed plots up again. Planted...
