Got to the stand around 2:00 pm after leaving work early. While sitting in my North stand I could not get the straps to quite down. Had a SE lite wind and you could hear a leaf hit the ground. Every time I shifted my weight the stand would creek really loud, Tried altering the straps and everything but those straps sometimes can't be quite. So at 3:00 pm I said I have to move and walked about 200 yards to my south stand. Good for SE wind. As soon as I got in the stand, strapped in and looked to the south and saw a shooter walk to a small timber that paralleled the road. I thought he is either going to cross the road or he will follow the timber searching for does. Not 10 minutes later, I hadn't even got there good yet and he was on the fence line crashing antlers against the trees. He looks my way from about 70 yards and hops the fence. Now he is in my cut corn field and walking right at me. He reaches 30 yards (no range finder) and i am at full draw, he is broad side, I stop him and release the full metal jacket tipped with 100 gr steel force. I see it hits the mark but thought I shot low. He bolts about 10 yards and turns to the off side and I can see blood flowing out behind the front leg. He then spun down right there not more that 20 yards from the shot. Found out I broke the near shoulder and took the top of the heart out. I couldn't believe it. My best bow kill so far and will have to spend some more money again. My wife came and took pics with our 1 year old grand daughter. Buck scored right at 159, Good mass and I love the rack.
