2019 Season started for me today at 2:37 p.m. I was scouting a new farm, its a big Milo field with very little timber, oceans of fields with a skinny draw and waterways. The farmer does a good job burning diesel in the winter.
As I eased down the main waterway towards the draw about sixty yards in front of me a single deer jumped up out of the base of the waterway at the end of a brush pile. Conveniently there are 3-4 trees that i can get a stand in. Im not sure how many points, but no doubt about it he is a toad. Ive never hunted around Milo fields much so I figured it would be a good name for the buck.
I stuck a couple cameras out and got the heck outta there with the anxious/excited feeling we know all too well.
I had the exact same scenario happen to me last year and I kicked myself for not documenting the process, I cant wait for that first card pull on this farm.... stay tuned.
