On the Nov 2022 Ballot: click here
You can believe Erica when she says her group is going to campaign hard to stop this. I'd like to see realistic statistics on how crime and domestic abuse will increase, pure hyperbole.
Rep. Holt says it's up to the citizens now to get out and vote, truer words never spoken. Encourage people to read the ballot to the end to vote on this.
Did Pate's office drop the ball to get this on the ballot last time intentionally? Is he up for re-election?
Why is this needed? Read the thread HR 127 (click here)
“Every American should have the freedom to be safe in our homes, neighborhoods, and communities. Freedom to live our lives without the constant threat of gun violence hanging over our heads,” Wessel-Kroeschell said. “The reckless disregard for the gun violence that plagues so many people’s lives is morally bankrupt and doesn’t have anything to do with protecting freedom.”
I agree with the first sentence, but disagree with the proposed approach to safety. I do not feel that this change is based in disregard to gun violence. If one wants to point the finger of disregard is should be at those using firearms to commit heinous crimes. Criminals do not follow the law by definition. Just look at the gun violence death rate in say, Chicago? Where there are severe gun restrictions.
Get out and start rallying people to vote in the Nov. 22 general election. The antis have already started the vote no iniative.
