I read through briefly the article. Are you thinking because he's a realtor he has access on the farms he lists or?Really. It’s called access to thousands of acres of property. Whether through money or profession. Finding a 200 inch deer and having the access to kill it. I have awesome land in Iowa and have seen one 200 in deer in 20 years. If you break this down it’s laughable. Good for him but it has variables 99% of the hunting population will never have. I guarantee.
Here is the real story. This kid has killed all of his deer on family land. (Under 1000 acres). He is 23 years old and has been hunting with his dad and grandpa since he could tag along. He just started to be a land agent for the real estate company this fall. He doesn’t have unlimited ground to hunt like you suggest. He’s from western Kansas where less than 1/3 of the population of the whole state live. Wide open spaces, with 2% timber at most.Absolutely. Look at the a whitetail properties crew. 99.9 percent of hunters will never put eyes on a 200 inch deer in a lifetime. Im sure he’s special. Lol
Agreed, this is an outlier for sure, that I either don't have the means or desire to accomplish, personally. The #'s alone are impressive though. Nearly 1k inches of antler in 5 years, from 5 deer. The kicker is that he's now only 23 years old. That means he shot his first world class buck when he was 17 or 18, and has repeated it 4 more years in a row. That's pretty darn impressive to me, and I speak out frequently about 'farming deer'. I was so busy chasing a different kind of tail in my late teens and early 20's, that you couldn't have paid me to put the time into locating and hunting any of these beasts.Don’t care. Outside the norm is all I’m sayin. Lee Lakosky and the Drurys have done the same. We don’t care cause we know their situation. This is similar, I guarantee. That’s all
