Added 70 acres to the “Home Farm”

Posted on my projects thread but figured id stick it here too

Yesterday was BIG day. Sold the “North Farm” (80 acres in Macon County) and bought the adjacent timber farm to the home farm that has been the subject of this thread. Lots of work ahead as I make this my life’s work and build our home on the red circle tract, the highlighted farm is the CRP and the blue X farm is yesterday’s addition. I knew when I bought the crp farm 8/10/20 that I would want to have the neighboring farm to the west given the opportunity, but I had no idea it would come up so quickly.
Got really lucky it all worked out. Kudos to The Big Guy for answered prayers.

Congrats. Looking like you'll be able to get 'em coming to food in the evenings behind the future house, and backdoor them in the mornings as well coming back from it. Opens up a lot of possibilities!

I'm on a much smaller scale, but general same train of thought. 145 acres here in cattle country MO...Have a long wooded 40 just east of us with a cabin on it. Would LOVE to be able to pick this up.

Red = 1 acre clearcuts in timber
Blue = TSI'ed areas
Light Blue = Cedar Removal / Glade Restoration
Pink = Edge Feathering
