Another switchgrass question!

Wi transplant

Ok I have done lots of switchgrass plantings but am gonna try something new . I looking for opinions if this will work? I have a fall grains (oats rye wheat n peas ) food plot that was in last fall and is eaten down to inch or less. Think I can frost seed over this plot this winter than spray gly on it after spring green up to terminate it. Then come back and put atrazine on it ? Will this process work or wasting my time?

The one word reply above is perfect. Frost seed away and manage the weeds with herbicides & maybe one mowing.

What about using an existing clover field ? Is possible to burn down with gly and till early spring then plant switch like clover ? Till cultipac seed re cultipac?? Then atrazine??? Never done without frost seeding?

Frost seed it. Gly, 24d, atrazine at green up. More gly and atrazine in May. Walk away.

I have a 2 acre or so section i could do this as well. What date would you guys recommend frost seeding (or drilling since i have one).

2 acres. Either is fine - drill or frost seed. As long as not tons of snow .... February is probably ideal. Later february. Ideally want 4 weeks of freezing & thawing. Timing for that is regional for sure - MO vs MN for example will be a couple weeks difference.
