A buddy sent this to me today. Date is correct. Very strange even for us. What’s the latest breeding y’all have proof of?

My guess is March for the last yearlings to get bred. I had an orphaned fawn by the house that we discovered in mid-September. This was after a devastating flood on September 11th that year. We had 21" of rain in 3 1/2 days. My son was down by the creek the beginning of October and after making a grunt the tiny fawn came running up to him. I kept an eye on it for a couple weeks then we had a big snowstorm the 3rd week of October. After the snow melted it was curled up dead, pretty sure the doe got swept away in the flood. Had to have been bred in March.

I don't know for sure, but I have seen TINY fawns a few times over the past few years, suggesting that there is some late action going on somewhere around us.
