Also from last year. This bill passed the Senate and was sent to the House, the subcommittee did not move the bill.

An amendment was proposed today that added "bow" to the list of restricted seasons. If adopted, artificial light for coyote hunting would be banned during ML, bow and shot gun seasons.

Placed on the House Daily Debate Calendar. If the amendment is approved and the bill passes it will need to go back through the Senate.

I'm so confused, so nothing new there. The bill passed the House today 97-0. The confusion is the "not allowed in bow season" dropped off. So hunting coyote with a light at night would be banned in early ML, shotgun and late ML but allowed during bow. The bill was sent back to the Senate and the Senate has already filed an amendment to add "bow" back into the bill.

Here is a link to the bill as passed by the House with the Senate amendment. The bill is in red the proposed amendment is normal color. https://www.legis.iowa.gov/legislation/BillBook?ga=88&ba=S5064

EDIT: I don't know if the bill needs to go through the committee process again or it just gets added to the eligible for debate calendar.

Upon further review, the House passed it WITH closed in bow season, the red bill is the original bill from the Senate and the over lay is what the House passed.

I apologize for any confusion.
