Three years in a row I have doubled up on the second day of the season. This year was a replay of last year shooting 2 birds out of the same 2 fields, only this year I got it all on video.

I don’t know what exactly happened to the second bird! I think I just flat out missed the first shot, my second shot hit him but the arrow reflected off. I thought I hit him good because he slowly walked off with his wing sticking out away from his body, but when he got to the edge of the field he started strutting as he walked over to the flock of hens and they all went back into the wood.

Congrats Zach!! Sure looks a lot better than the miserable day we had Monday. I think next year I will just come up the 2nd day of the season :)

I don't like to call too much when I know where the birds want to be, I had been scouting them for weeks. You can't see from the video but the whole flock of hens were behind me and to the left so I knew they were going to come down the hill.
I like to use rocket hammerheads for turkeys
