Early rutting Action????

considering we are 4 days from Halloween- I would say we are right on target with what the usual action is for this time of the month. Action should really start picking up with any new cold front that magic month is in sight

I seen bucks lightly dogging does over a week ago which I thought was a bit early for my area however that was around full moon. Things are starting to heat up in a typical fashion for the end of Oct. I shot the buck in the avy on Oct 30th last year. He was lightly chasing when he came in.

Been really dead for me. Multiple farms. Just not seeing much of anything. Bucks I have seen have just been feeding.

Found this interesting.... first week of October. This is what I believe to be a 6+ year old buck (albeit a crappy one) all over a doe. Check this out.

That's really unusual to have a mature buck running does in early october. Normally those 5-6 year olds stay on their bellies.

Kind of a knarly old buck isn't he??? He d be on my list without a doubt.
