Love those doe tags

Last night I sat on the edge of a cornfield that has been partially harvested, and was able to take a nice doe for my antlerless archery tag. Perfect double lung at 31 yards. Man...were the deer out! I shot her at 5:45 and kind of felt like I should've waited in hopes that Mr. Big was going to come by during the sit. Now it's time to settle in for a 2 month trophy hunt

I agree with NWBUCK.I like to eat deer as soon as possible.I took a large doe Thurs. and a small one Sat.(I had 2 bonus tags of coarse).I took a lot of razing on the smally but it taste the best.Years ago I could only get 1 tag because I didn't go with a gun.The way it is now is like 2 months of Heaven.And I do get a thrill when the first deer comes regardless if it has antlers or not.
