Morels this weekend?

I don't look for them often and don't know a lot about how late into the year they grow or what conditions put an end to the season.

A rare weekend without any baseball is going to let the whole family get down to VB county for a camping trip and I'm just wondering if a shroom hunt would be worth the time. Thanks.
 
Not sure but if you go be checking north slopes, and places that get the least amount of sunlight. I would have to guess the early and mid season spots down there have already produced and are about done but the late season spots could be dynamite. Also, wear permethrin and check for ticks. This year has been the worst for me as far as deer ticks and I'm using permethrin.
 
Any areas that aren't overgrown should still produce. We found a bunch last Saturday and Sunday on North facing and also a few SE facing slopes.
