Well since the youngster (See Cal’s 1st Bird) thought he was the king of the house for the weekend....Dad had to show him who was still the boss

With a little help from a good buddy we were able to call this 1st season bird into
range.

Hahaha...Was definitely a big bird, probably the biggest bird I've ever shot. But I'm sure this is the whole 200"er Effect, camera was down hill of me and much closer to the bird.

His beard was a paint brush and had long spurs. We hunted hard the rest of the day to get my buddy a bird so we cleaned my bird in the field and I never did get to weigh it. I know my kiddos bird was just over 25lbs and this was a little heavier for sure.
