I bought a new farm and I am wanting to put up some screens to help me get in and out and also block some viewing from the gravel road traffic. What are you guys using for screens to do these things?
 
If you check DlbTree Corner you'll get a lot of ideas and how to do it, You can plant EW , or you can do cedar screens if you want long term.. Lots if good information as well as what other do. Check out the miscantus
 
Egyptian wheat yearly for temporary instant blocking. Behind that, all the above shrubs, cedars, willow, etc - multiple rows. I use a spade to move 8' tall cedars. If you can find one in your area, fix it instantly in a day for good.
 
As others have said, a lot of different plants they list can help screen off an area, some short, tall, fast, slow, evergreen, annual, etc.
