Discussion about scrimshaw in another post prompted me to post this.
This is a piece I had a late friend and mentor make for my wife about 30 years ago. It is Elephant ivory with a handmade silver frame.
Bob really did awesome work.

Yes he was Ron. From banjos and fiddles, scrimshaw, etc. His work was top notch. His hand built muzzleloaders were not only works of art but were also historically correct.
10 years ago he was taken from this world much too soon. I was blessed to have known and learned from him for almost 25 years.

Absolutely beautiful, Shovel. I can see why he was world renowned. Sorry he was taken too early!
