My wife bought me a lathe for my B-Day...I've been wanting to make slate calls and needed a lathe to do it. I turned my first two pots for the calls today, they need a lot of sanding yet and a finish applied but I think they turned out pretty well. The dark pot was turned out of a piece of walnut burl and the lighter pot was made from hard maple.
