Transducer depth mod

Thought I would share. I bought this FL-8 used, and it had no stopper for transducer depth. I don't know what the factory ones look like, or how you guys like them, but I got tired of tying a knot in my cord above the float, like my MN buddy says he does with his older FL-8. I also hate the float, and can't see the point of having it in my fish hole. So, my bow hunting prussic safety ropes came to mind. Here is what I did.....Works slick, and not having the float always hogging up room in my ice hole, or laying on the side of the hole, is much
better.

Ditto. A clothespin above the float is a perfect system.

I had my prussic backwards, got it right now. Yea, I used a small handclamp for a while too. This beats that too. Clothes pin is fine if u want the float. The prussic knot elminates the need for the annoying, in the way float.
