The DNR received about 10,400 applications for NR deer licenses, about 3000 more than the number of licenses available. Those applicants who do not receive a license will be notified by mail by June 16.
The DNR will reopen the application process to fill any zones and seasons where the license quota was not filled beginning June 16. Any NR that has not been awarded a license may apply fo one in the unfilled zone or season.
Nonresidents may only receive one deer license. Unsucessful applicants will be awarded a preference point toward receiving a license next year.
