U guys making me wanna glass some fields & run some cams!!! I’ve seen some tanks but only from distance or jumping doing farm chores. Been really hard to tell as they from a distance. Stoked to see what’s out there!
if you saw a “150” already!! Ya- he could add a TON!!!! Now until July 15 let’s say- whoa. He’s piling on inches right now. U could have a giant and I hope you do!!!!!

So- I hunted for him a few times. This was on my tillable farm. He did not live on me. He was on me about 1 time a week.
long story short….. he lived across road & stayed on a piece that “no one was allowed to hunt”. Not a big piece but he knew he was safe. Into 2nd gun season this neighbor got phone call about shotgun hunting permission. He somehow ended up conveying these folks could go- lil confusing but I spose he did say ok or something. Huge group hunted & pushed it. Group shot him. Which…. Whatever- all good. That’s how it goes. Lucky hunter got a dandy!!!! He was well over 200”. Good for that dude! Ya- he was a nice one. I see cases like these deer often in iowa in all parts of state …. Just takes one small piece that doesn’t get hunted - those bucks find it and survive.
Heck- I have as many big deer on some tillable farms as I do my main hunting farm. Sometimes bigger. Just not as consistent & for sure harder to hunt them. But that’s how I’ve got a lot of bucks…. Hunt carefully on small tracts for one particular deer.
