    Early season?

Thanks to all for advice. I don't really have a specific buck "patterned" good pics of a 9 and a heavy 12. Like I said in years past they pound the acorns during early season. should i just hit the stand for first couple weeks and hope for the best, if nothing else bag a slickhead to fill the...

    Early season?

I hunt southeastern NE. Season opens Spt. 1, planning on hitting the timber where the acorns drop, hoping to get a velvet buck, But dont want to ruin my honey hole for Nov. I have seen really good activity during early season in years past, but I don't want to educate mature bucks... Stand is...

    Sights?

Just upgraded to the bowtech experience and pondering on a new sight... I was intrigued by the TR react but after reading the previous reviews I started looking at a spot Hogg. Any thoughts on this, or in another direction? Thanks

    Roadhunting epidemic

Some trucks are even taking their plates off. Thought about getting a flare gun. Haha, non lethal rounds...

I say "cheating" because my Iowa buddies gimme a hard time about it. That's all I meant by that.

    Roadhunting epidemic

I've had a great bow season so far in NE. Lots of action. I was excited for gun season to have the extra range. Nearly all of my hunts these last four days have been ruined by droves of road hunters/poachers. Circling sections, shooting from trucks etc. way worse than in years past. I probably...

    11/14/13

Rear day in the stand! Saw 7 does and 2 maybe 3 bucks. They were on the does trails but not "chasing". 1 wide 3x3 and a real nice 150-160 class 12 popped outa nowhere at around 10. Most of the activity was between shooting light and 8:30. Had to back out to #2. Back in stand, hopefully I can...

    Treestand relief?

Yes, I'm taking it here... Long sits on the stand lead to the infamous peepee dance! Looking for somewhat "scent free" solutions to treestand relief :)

    Acorn woods

Hunted Saturday. Hung stand at noon. Came back to hunt it at 3:30. Took me 45 minutes to get in stand, had a 10-11 pt at 65 yds stuffing his face. He moseyed off the other way. At least I didn't get busted. Saw a lot of does coming in only a doe fawn within range. 8 deer total. Saw a spike as...

    Muddy

Yes. Portable with brackets for multiple stand locations. Backpack type carry out. The seat is fully adjustable to keep level. Weighs only 15 lbs I think. Assembly requires only 4 bolts. Pretty impressed so far.

Just got the new Muddy Vantage stand, and put it together. It's super slick, and lighter that my blind. Can't wait to get it in the woods! Sept 15 can't come soon enough!

    Sad Story

Very unfortunate story. I'm surprised the land owner didn't light up the truck too, it kinda looks like a effin unicorn!!!

    Trading hunts?

I just wish IA and NE would be a little more "neighborly" with non resident fees. Understand the reasoning, but it's frustrating when I can cross the river in 5 min butt it seams sooo far away.

    Iowa's Top 10 Outdoors Stories for 2011

I've heard the theory that when turkeys increase birds decrease due to how many nests one flock can destroy. Thoughts?
