That deer is from Canada...Manitoba I beleive...it was in North American Whitetail awhile ago..I will see if I can find the article about it again...

I was viewing this pic on another web site and was thinking that it looked like a Canadian Deer. The backround in the pic looks like Canada. Well you know how stories expand in every direction when they hit the web.

It's an Alberta buck. One of the main guides had found a complete set of sheds from him the year before. It has a gross score of over 200"but nets over 200 as a non typ. I beleiev the outfitters name is Jeff Trout. Either way...that is an Alberta buck. Saw it in Big Buck magazine and NAW.

Definitely no stands of popple like that in Iowa. I guess when people see a buck like that they just assume it is from Iowa.
