Ok fellas- need some help/advice.... In about ONE MONTH I'm going to get another UTV or XUV. Right now I have a Diesel Gator BUT my brother is going to buy that one from me.
OK- what's the advantages/disadvantages of diesel & fuel? Diesel engines last a lot longer? I know gas is faster BUT much harder on gas mileage from my experience. I also see the diesels being far more expensive to buy BUT what y'all think of going with one vs other?
Who has the MOST SOLID BRANDS??? OK- so I see these cheap china-brands for $3500-4000 but I would destroy them in a few months. I work the heck outta mine. Must have 4 wheel drive and be tough as nails. I've been looking at these:
John Deere Gator
Kubota
Cub Cadet
Bobcat
I've seen a few other brands that are cheaper or less quality. Which models are the toughest? I also want to consider having plenty of room- I use mine in spring to put up stands, haul stuff around all summer and run around farm doing chores, etc. They see a good deal of mud and really rough areas too. I need a working machine!
OK- last, buy new or save a couple thousand bucks and get used? New, I get warranty and know what's been done to it BUT i may be able to find a good used one with really low hours. If someone sees an exceptional deal on used one, low hours (say under 200), really good deal, let me know. I could do it now BUT planning on buying in a month- if I found a stellar deal, I'd do it now.
What's your thoughts/advice on what i should buy? Thanks a ton!
