Prairie Dog Hunting

Not sure if this belongs in this forum or not, and kind off the whitetail subject.
But a few buddys and i were trying to plan a prairie dog hunt and dont really
know where to begin. I see there are many outfitters out there and would
like to do this without one. We want to go where the hunting is best.
Location does not really matter either. Anyone with any experience or
information is appreciated. Thanks.

If you don't mind "Winging It" an easy trip we've done in the past is head to western SD and just stop by the local taverns and ask around. Ranchers don't like the little buggers and welcome the hunters. Its a cheap, easy and fun hunt.

I'd also suggest bringing your bow with Judo points.

I was gonna say the same thing about NW Neb, with the added bonus of plenty of Forest Service pasture land around the Chadron/Crawford area if you can't find any private colonies to shoot. PINK MIST!

Plenty of places to go in South Dakota and Wyoming. I usually hunt on the Pine Ridge Reservation near Martin South Dakota, Check for guides out that way.
