Regulation Question

I agree it's pretty casual, but you are also not allowed to coordinate the movement of other hunters, so when he says I'm getting down and heading your way it could be interpreted as coordinating a small drive.
Understandable . I just don't want to ruin a shot if he has a deer in view. . . .

I completely agree. I would think they would need to find some other things to jam you up on something like this, but it's definitely something to think about.
Funny story about that situation. About ten years ago I actually shot a doe with my buddy kneeling at the base of my tree. He had shot one and walked over to me not realizing I had one at the bottom of a draw next to me. Fortunately he was quiet enough she didn't notice.
