Has anyone ever been on this thing?

Thinking of surprising my wife and running down to the Marquette area next weekend if thats possible. Is there anything else fun for a couple to do in the area. B&B etc.... Its an anniversary trip.:grin:

Open to any other great ideas for fun things to do in IA..........

Marquette/McGregor is a poor mans Galena, Ill.

There are a decent amount of speciality shops in McGregor, that women seem to like. There is prairie du Chien right across the river, alot going on there including Cabelas.

Places to eat:

Spring lake; about 4 miles north of Praire Du Chien, cannot go wrong, GREAT food.

Jeffer's; south end of PDC, more fancy

Eddie's Irish Pub; middle of PDC, good food.


Places to stay:

There are Grumpster's cabins in McGregor, I believe there is a website for them.
The boat has a hotel,
There are alot of hotels in PDC
Or if your feeling adventurous, you can rent a Boatel and stay right on the river.

There is quite a bit to do...Cabelas is real close also
