Hey guys, this is probably the best way for me to get the best advice, coming on here! OK, so I got a cheapy back-pack sprayer that you can pump lever with your hand while you spray (all I've had are around 4 gallons)- it lasted about a month and broke. SO... I thought, SOLO makes pretty good stuff, I got the SOLO back-pack sprayer from Tractor Supply (again, about 4 gallon with lever to pump at your side).... Definitely BETTER, no question BUT.... For sure not the best. I've gone through 2 of those BUT they've lasted maybe 3 times longer than the cheapy brand. They've had problems with compression/pressure, the bolts come unloose after a lot of use, the rubber part on lid that seals falls apart AND it has a hole on the top for air to get in BUT I get COVERED every stinkin time I use it with chemicals- no matter how careful I am, especially NOT FUN when I've had DYE in there or nasty stuff like 2,4D, etc- NOT COOL. Other issues beyond that. For someone with HIGH USE on a sprayer, it's just WAY WAY too many issues & that's just naming a few. I am NOT real pleased with Solo. I admit, it's a lot "BETTER" than the cheapy brand and if a guy only used it for 5 minutes a month, it would be fine. BUT for me, it's far from fine.
**Cheapy brand I got was about $50. SOLO was ABOUT $75-80.
SO..... here's what I'm "LEANING" to.... What you all think of the STIHL back-pack sprayer???? OR OTHER BRANDS?!?!?!? I would love to hear about ANY that are great, AROUND 4 gallons, SOLID AS A ROCK and have the lever to pump it with your hands. The stihl is AROUND $120-ish which is fine (of course it has no gas motor like another model they have which is over $600). I will NEVER again cheap out on a sprayer! Other brands? Experience with the Stihl? what's SOLID, awesome and won't give me problems and also leave me covered in chemicals???
